 AdministrationWe were approached by the directors of South West Radio Ltd in early August 2009 as a business sale had fallen through and company was losing money. The group company owned five local radio stations including Bath FM, Brunel FM in Swindon, Quay West Radio in Bridgwater and Watchet and 3TR in Warminster. The company employed about 30 staff plus a number of freelancers. The group of companies were put into Administration in early August; we then took control and traded the businesses whilst advertising to find a buyer. We very quickly had a number of offers and after two and a half weeks of trading we agreed a sale. The sale went through and all five radio stations were saved with all jobs being preserved. |
